Guide to Funerals

Funeral Arrangements has put together a guide to helping make the funeral arrangement process simple.

Funeral Checklist

A quick checklist of things to consider when making funeral arrangements:

  • Burial or Cremation (if burial, is position reserved?)
  • Priest, Minister or Celebrant (Who is required to conduct the funeral ceremony)
  • Where will the funeral ceremony be conducted? (Church, Chapel, Graveside or other?)
  • Death & Funeral Notices (where will notices be published?)
  • Flowers (what are the directions for mourners flowers?)
  • Viewing (Is there going to be a viewing - if so who?)

Other considerations to make for funeral arrangements that often slip the mind of loved ones:

  • Solicitor selection and legal arrangements
  • Obtain pension number if applicable
  • Ex service formalities such as RLS, Flag use etc.
  • Memorial inscription
  • Placement of ashes if applicable
  • Membership of lodges, clubs and societies.
